Pink Feathers

Cornerstone: Water

Water soothes chaos

Whether you are six or sixty

Crashing waves produce a heartbeat

Of their own making

Glistening off the water

Sun rays reach for me

Soothing shaky nerves

For what I know to be

Endless gaze over the horizon

Inducing trance of numbing

Bliss,relied on by my soul,

Synaptic brain drumming

At the water’s end I observe

My own reflection pulled in

To crystal yet sandy water

Mimicking a broken violin

Fresh scented breezes

Move with such pleasure

Just above the foaming tide

Of this Door County water

Images of Peace seen in waves

Water moistens the scars of life

Raising one’s hope to the brim

Aqua blue liquid lets sunshine in
