I just love December
Coffee every morning for sure
Such a magical time of year
Shopping for the perfect gift
To wrap in silver and gold
Honestly this never gets old
If you can catch my drift
Light displays in every street
For all a spirit lifting treat
Stores dressed in green and red
Cheerful laugh and giggles spread
The perfect tree is cut down
Placed in the perfect spot
Ornaments lights, a star on top
Pretty garland wrapped around
Family comes home for the holiday
Or FaceTimes from far away
Parents, grandparents filled with joy
Love in their hearts overflows
The taste of cookies on our tongue
Smell of scrumptious yummy food
Sight of contented warm smiles
Christmas music heard on radio
We all feel that Christmas feeling
Our hearts fill up our soul rejoices
Truly baby Jesus brought light
Into a sometimes dark world
Find the time to enjoy this time
That comes around every year
