Library Confessions

To all the books that I’ve loved

and promptly forgotten:

it’s not as if I didn’t care.

In our time together,

I savored each word;

I delighted in plot twists;

I wished I was there!

Then came the last chapter…

I cast you aside,

and grabbed me a new book

to start a new ride.
