That day in the woods

when the wolf met the dragon

and they both circled round and round

showing their claws

…Wolf said to Dragon…

“I see a fire in your eye, dear. Join my pack and we’ll rule by your wings and my jaws.”

Dragon wisped smoke rings

up north of the stars,

stretched her wings

so they covered the sky

…said Dragon to Wolf…

“You’re the moon in my coffee. Teach me to howl and I’ll teach you to fly.”
